Robert Friedman is Florida insurance lawyer who focuses his practice on advising corporate policyholders and litigating disputed insurance claims. He has represented policyholders in insurance matters his entire career, first in the Insurance Coverage group of Dickstein Shapiro LLP in New York, and later as head of the Insurance Coverage Practice at Gunster in West Palm Beach, FL. He founded Friedman P.A. in 2011.
Mr. Friedman has written extensively about insurance coverage and other legal issues for national and regional publications, including National Underwriter, Risk & Insurance, Business Insurance, the South Florida Business Journal, the Daily Business Review, and the Harvard Law Record. He is frequently quoted as an expert on insurance law issues. He has presented seminars on insurance topics to business and legal groups, including the Florida Bar, Practicing Law Institute, and Strafford Publications. He serves on the Stafford Publications Insurance Law Advisory Board.
Mr. Friedman is admitted to practice in Florida and New York, as well as several federal district and appellate courts, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Cornell University.
